Adam Hoffman
Playwright Adam Hoffman is a theatre artist who lives in Northeast Ohio. He has acted at Great Lakes Theatre Festival, Ohio Shakespeare, Magical Theatre Company, Porthouse Theatre, Dobama, and Cain Park. Adam has written several plays that have been performed at Magical , including Mother Goose, Larger Than Life! American Tall Tales, Alice In Wonderland, Quoth The Raven, Cinderella, Myths and Monsters, The Monkey’s Paw, Beowulf, The Odyssey, and Lincoln: A Man for the Ages. He has also written close to three hundred ten minute adaptations of student stories for the respected Kidscripts program. |
His plays have also been produced at the Hammond Horror Festival, Youngstown State University, Dobama Theatre, Hoover High School, and the Chagrin Falls Academy for the Performing Arts. Most recently his play "Vasalisa and the Witchfire" was performed as a staged reading for Tale Spinners Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio. He has directed and assistant directed several dozen plays.
Adam has taught theatre and coached young actors at Kent State University, West SIde Vocal Academy, Magical Theatre Company, Cain Park, The Rainy Institute, Stagecrafters, and his own private practice. He has a BA in Theatre from Baldwin-Wallace University and an MFA in Acting from Kent State University. He loves spending time with his wife and son.
